Printing in Active Directory on HP DeskJet 2500 fails

We have an HP DeskJet 2500 professional networked on an Windows 2000
NT domain print server. Windows XP Professional SP 3 users on the NT
domain can print just fine; however, users that we migrated to Active

my printer driver does not have a "Print in Gray Scale" option. The
driver is the latest one. Is there a way to print in gray scale?

I have a legacy Foxpro-based app and am trying to set a user up for printing.
When trying to print reports, nothing happens. I did notice a window open
and stay with the command: mode lpt1:=com1. Doesn't this route the lpt1 port

How uninstall XML Specification Paper Viewer?

I installed what I thought was the XML Specification Paper Viewer only to
find out it was the beta 2 release which has expired. I cant' find a way to
uninstall it and if I install the full version from microsoft the installer
gets about 90% through and says a program was unable to install and errors
out.

when you cannot see _all_ tabs in printer properties then it is your

Prints During Reboot

I have a Canon ImageRunner 2270 (networked). Recently, it started printing
only during a re-boot. I have another printer attached via USB that prints
without any issues. I've deleted the IP port and re-created it, as well as
