Saving Image to SD Flash Fails (WinXP Photos)
Tue, 26 Aug 2008 08:01:01 -0700
We have several digital cameras that we take photos with. My wife always
renames them to be something she can use (instead of P1011432.JPG).
My wife and I have both noticed from this last batch that we can not copy
all files to a SD Flash Card for displaying in our Digital Picture frame.
We load the SD Fla ...

Windows XP "My Pictures Folder"
Sun, 24 Aug 2008 08:02:30 -0700
I'm having major trouble with this folder. The Sample Pictures that came with
the computer keep multiplying. Everytime I delete them I get a duplicate set.
Also, everytime I try to open a picture an error message comes up that says
"One or more system DLL's could not be loaded" and then "Esapp.dll" and the

Synctoy 2.0 arrives; What I'd like in Synctoy 3.0 :-)
Sat, 23 Aug 2008 07:56:33 +0100
I would like a fourth action. It would be the same as "Contribute"
except files/folders that get deleted from the left would get deleted
from the right after a grace period.
This way, I could recover stuff if I realised that I still needed it
within the grace period. I doubt we could ever agree on the grac ...

Dog green-eye
Thu, 21 Aug 2008 18:55:24 -0400
I get green-eye photos when I snap my dog with even a low flash. Red-eye
removal software does not do anything for the problem.
What can I use to eliminate green-eye?
Thanks in advance!

Windows Live Photo Gallery Broken
Tue, 19 Aug 2008 18:14:01 -0700
Just updated WLPG with the QuickTime thumbnail update
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955359). Now when I double-click any image
file nothing happens. If I choose 'Open With'->'Windows Live Photo Gallery'
under the context menu in Windows Explorer, it opens fine.
If I restore the file associations to their ...

RE: Default Double-click action
Mon, 18 Aug 2008 16:01:04 -0700
I found that by going directly into My Documents from the Start Menu instead
of through a word processor everything works fine. With a word processor I
was getting a document filled with code whenever I double-clicked an image
file. I hope somebody will benefit from this, otherwise I wasted your time.

RE: Default Double-click action

I had already tried everything you say. I do need to add that this applies
only to images in a Word document (i.e, My Pictures). I copied one of them
to C:/(filename) and double-click works properly. Is this normal or do I
need to move My Pictures out of My Documents?

No Slide Show Option on Fax and Picture Viewer
Mon, 18 Aug 2008 04:53:00 -0700
Recently I worked with MS to reinstall a clean version of Windows XP Home
(long story). Since then, when I open my photo files with Windows Fax and
Picture Viewer, there is no option anymore to view the photos in a slide show
manner. I did try that registry fix but it didn't work for that problem.
Any ide ...
