Screen Blackout

Windows XP Home. Dell Inspiron 2200 Laptop. After being up for 30-60 minutes
the screen suddenly goes dark (there is a ghost image). If I shut the cover,

Image Software

Does anyone have any suggestions on image software that supports SATA
(Serial ATA) drives?
Acronis or Ghost doesn't. I get "No drive detected" using the boot
disk.
I have a fresh install of XP, and would like to create an image.

Defrag gives 'unspecified error'

When I try to defrag I get the message that a chkdsk is scheduled at the next
reboot and defrag cannot continue without the chkdsk being done. So I reboot
and no chdsk takes place so I then schedule one myself and reboot.
The chkdsk always fails at stage 3 with 'unspecified error' so I cannot
defrag and the ...
