chkdsk stuck at 0% in stage 4

Using Win XP SP2 plus updates. I have two internal hard drives. My data drive
is a SATA wd800 and I am using the entire disk as drive F. I started having
BSODs so I scheduled chkdsk to run.

Cannot Move Files in Windows Explorer

I have a strange problem and don't have a clue how to fix it. I cannot move
files by drag-and-drop nor cut and paste in Windows Explorer. Explorer shows
the file moving but the operation never ends. I have tried to cancel the

Look in Help and Support. On the top bar, all the way at the right, is a
button to click. I also have Windows XP. I believe I had already clicked on
Index in the Help and Support page, so maybe you need to do that to get the
bar I mention.

Applications slow to launch...Help!
