Error installing Hotfix 126323 from KB 885843

I am attempting to install Hotfix 126843 relating to KB 885843 which is
precisely the problem that I am having. I have an XP SP2 system and am
unable to upgrade to SP3 completely due to some incompatibilities with SAP.
Unfortunately when i try to install the Hotfix I get the following error:

systems, i.e. installing applications, adding hardware, changing passwords
etc etc - Is there a program that can stop this happening but if admin

Hard Drive XP Boot Failure and Hang up

My Main Hard Drive is freezing at the boot screen and I was able to get it
into safe mode one time. Thinking I had an error I ran error checking and
waited. It ran (we know how long that takes) and no errors found, but it

Some Updates Could Not Be Installed.

That's the message I get when tryihng to intsall updates in XP SP2, and I've
been getting it for about 2 months. I have 15 updates that can't be
installed. To top it off, if I try to install SP 3, after the install process
finishes and it reboots, it gets to the blue Welcome screen and stops.
