Missing e-mail

Please help when I receive e-mails it might show 6 received on the task
bar but I may only have 5 in my inbox. This has only happened over the
last month no problem before and I have not changed anything on pc or

Problem in Start--> Search

I've obviously done something - who knows what - with settings in Search. It
used to be that a Search would look in all the sub-folders and files below
the level that I specified. Now it will only look at the folder names (but
not within the folders or subfolders below) at the specified level, so a

I know how to increase overall text size via Display (settings >
advanced)... but how do I increase the text in whatever that bar is
called between the start button and the clock? Also, IE is set on
Largest Text but it's small (tiny). I can make my firefox text as
large as I need, it doesn't stick... but at ...

Hpw to Restore the Network Places Icon

Somehow or other I changed a setting which resulted in the "My Network
Places" icon no longer displaying on the desktop. It appears as an item in
the Desktop in Windows Explorer, but not on the desktop itself.
What's the secret?

I Lost my Desktop.....Help!!

I have no Desktop anymore. After booting up the process ends after the
background (Autumn) gets displayed. I have no Start Menu Bar, no icons on the

I've got the same problem, (terminal service won't start, so fast switching
and welcome screen don't work) but can't run the utility referenced because
it is only for SP2. I have already loaded SP3. Do you know what the utility
does, Is there a manual way to do it?
