Windows Live meeting Won't Quit

I recently used Windows Live Meting for a one-time use. Now, it keeps
popping up, and shows up in my taskbar on the right. I right click and
close it, but after a wakeup from standby it's back. I went into its Tools
| Otions | General and unchecked the appropriate boxes.

missing hidden files!

here is a peculiar problem.!
windows XP is the OS in my system.!
the problem is when i go to..
tools > folder options > view > hidden files and folders
and changing the option from "do not show hidden files"
to "show hidden files" and then applying it..!
still i couldn't view the hidden files & fold ...

Undelete A Formatted MBR Hard Drive

What is the quickest method to format a hard drive?
Format the MBR? Will that stop the following "Program" from recovering the
files?
Or what if Fdisk is used?
The following is on cnet's download list of undelete utilities...
While other programs just recover deleted files or camera cards, "Program"

SP1 Keeps Installing

Hi
I run WinXP (SP2) on a computer that is part of a large network.
Occasionally I get a dialog box pop up that attempts to install SP1 from a
network source. I usually just cancel it and continue working.
How can I stop this annoying attempt for XP to install a SP update?

OT: Q about anti-spyware

I have a subtle question. I thought that spyware was not virus and
probably did not disable/hurt computer.
They seem to be detecting only cookies. If so, why do we need anti-spyware
