Can't ping dns name but can ping ip

I'm running Windows XP service pack 2. The problem I'm having is that I can't
connect to the Internet. When I bring up a command line, I run ipconfig and I
have an IP address and the IP address of the DNS server is correct. I then
ran nslookup to lookup the IP address for www.google.com and www.yahoo.com.

I linked, with a direct lan cable, two computers (a e b) with O.S. xpsp3.
Both have just one lan connection set with manual configuration, with ip
address which differs just for the last digit.
Computer a can correctly ping itself through its ip (192.168.1.2) and b can

why is it whenever I launch/sign-in Skype 3.8, it will say "network cable is
unplugged", the power light modem turns red and I lose my internet
connection, all others are fine. Skype is program exempted in firewall.

I need to retrieve the current membership information from local XP
host.
I think MGM (Multicast Group Management) is for the servers which are
configured as routers.
So, it cannot be my solution since my application is running on the XP
workstation.
Using SNMP also cannot be the solution in my cas ...

Hello, I have a workgroup with 3 PC's. The probem is that PC "A" (IBM
machine) can see the other PC's but one of the other PC's "B" (ACER machine)
cannot see PC "A" (IBM machine)
What is going wrong here?

I found same problem with service Remote Access Connection Manager with Error 126
I try this way, it is work!
extract sens.dll which in winXP CD, folder I386 by use cmd window
expand sens.dl_ sens.dll
and copy this dll to /windows/system32/ and restart service again
