Ftp directory not listing query

In the past two weeks the FileZilla software (both previous V2 and current
V3) will NOT list one server storage directory files. There is a connection
and the word LIST appears then various errors will be presented if continued

Problems with Internet Access through VPN

When I am at home and I connect to my work through our VPN, all internet
traffic on my computer is routed through the VPN connection. Which
means that sites they have blocked are inaccessible on my computer at
home.

Just connected a new laptop to my existing XP network (Linksys).
Ran the network setup wizard on the new laptop.
Can access the internet on the new laptop.
Can see/access all PCs/NSDs/Folders/Printers on the network from the new
laptop.

I've noticed lately that Control Panel -> Network Connections -> <Local network> -> Status dialog box shows sent/received statistics in _packets_, but I'm pretty sure it was showing _bytes_ before.

The problem is thus:
Normal startup: The cable modem reads as connected. Some programs (games
that connect to external servers and messengers) will connect as normal.
IE/outlook fail to find anything. Generally the network diagnostic report
complains that the network is trying to use various other nic cards ...
