Cant open itunes. Windows error! Can anyone help?

My iTunes has been ok since I loadedit and no problems. Tried to open it two
days ago and I got a windows pop up window saying an error had happened and
it was going to have to close. So iTunes never opened.

special effects when playing audio files

I am running xp. fully updated. I am looking for software to add effects to
audio. I used to have software that could play mp3 files with effects such
as,concert hall, cave, auditorium, radio. But I have forgotten what the
software was called. Could anyone tell me the name of such software.

samsung yp-k3 player and xp sp3

Since i installed sp3 on my xp home edition, my samsung (yp-k3) mp3-player is
not recognized in the device manager;
Before sp3 there were no problems at all.
There were no drivers necessary (there are none available on the samsung cd
or website)

Inserting CD causes media players to play static

I use both Windows Media Player and iTunes to play music. Both work fine,
but lately when I insert a CD and open it in either player, all music whether
CD or compressed starts sounding poor - with static-like sounds added. When
