Want to play slideshow on DVD player

I made a slideshow of pictures using MovieMaker. I would now like to burn it
to a DVD so that I could play the movie on a regular DVD player. Can anyone
help with some step by step instructions, I'm not very technical!

Save to DVD

I have seen references to the MM option "Save to DVD". What exactly does it do? I am certain that it
does not create a movie DVD playable on a DVD player. Instead I suspect that it simply writes the
generated video file to this media. Is this correct?

Slideshow Won't Play

I have made a couple of slideshows in Moviemaker, but for some reason when I
was working on one last night for my sisters wedding, it quit playing the
slide show. It has not been published or anything, it is still in the
beginning stages, but when I hit the play button to preview it, it is just a

Windows Movie Maker - Importing a Picture as an Overlay

I have a background (sunset) that I want to leave on the screen as different
pictures come and then slowly fade out. I can figure out how to do this with
a title but not with a picture. It is my intention to have the sunset stay on
the screen as all 15 pictures come and go - can anyone tell me how to do

Burning DVD

I created my file in Windows Movie Maker (V6.0) and from there chose to
Publish Movie. That opened up Windows DVD Maker and I proceeded to choose to
make a standard DVD.
All was going along quite well and the progress bar proceeded at an amazing
clip until it reached 70% (this was a 60 minute video) The 70% ...

Can't open Movie Maker

Folks,
Running WinXP, SP2, IE6 which also has sp2.
Only recently started using the app. Made a film without any problems.
Accidently imported a film which movie maker could not open/import as a
project and now the application won't open at all.
There is no error code visible, it just starts then closes ...

No Sound on digital camera videos

I recorded many video clips on my Olympus SP-500UZ digital camera. According
to the instructions sound is automatically turned on in the video mode. The
Olumpus creates MOV files which I converted to AVI files using the RAD tools.
I then imported them into WMM but there is no sound and no sound track
appears ...
