Good morning -recently when I open Media Center I get the message "Messenger
failure" and to make sure it is installed on my computer -I didn't use to get
this -is there a way to get rid of it or install messenger -thank you- Els

Yahoo messenger, can't receive offline messages

I'm having a problem with Yahoo Messenger. It's version 8.1 and I
tried reinstalling it, but it didn't work.
I can't receive any offline messages.
I also can't get the message archive to work. It is enabled, but when
I view my archive, it is always empty. I am sure that it is not on

When I try to sign onto the messenger this is the error I get.
Msmsgs.exe - Unable to Locate Component
The application has failed to start because gdiplus.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
So I downloaded this...

Can't send texts on Messenger

Messenger deleted half my contacts and I can't re-add them

Hi,
I turned on Messenger one day only to discover half of my contacts were no
longer on my contact list, but relegated to "non-instant messenger
contacts." Of the contacts who Messenger deleted, they can still see me as
their contacts and message me as per usual but I cannot re-add them as

Awesome, look like everyone has the same problem.
Well, yesterday, on my laptop I couldn't login but I could on my
desktop.
Now I can't on both =/
Time to switch over to a new IM? xD

Hey to all of you:
here you have a great solution that has worked fine for me and several
others:
Go to Start > Run and type "regsvr32 softpub.dll" without the
quotes, then hit ok.
Ps. in Windows Vista there's no run, so just type "cmd" (without the
quotes) in
the start search box and hit enter :)
