Loading of web pages freezing

System - HP Pavillion a1214n running XP MC, SP2, Intel P4, 2GB ram
Had a hard drive fail, installed a new WD 320 GB to replace the WD 250.
Re-installed the HP OS from the back-up discs, no problems reported. Windows
Updated everything, including SP3. Then dumped the factory loaded Norton
stuff and installed Av ...

System Monitor is not updating

Hi,
System Monitor on my XP SP2 box is not updating, and I would appreciate any
ideas how to fix or troubleshoot this problem. More specifically, when I do
Start->Run->Type "perfmon" and click OK, the System Monitor window pops up,
but the red vertical line is not moving.

When my XP system comes out of standby, it hangs

I have Windows XP SP3. all bios are set OK for standby . it worked
last year.
It comes out of standby, the mouse works, the video comes back but
then it hangs.I have latest video drivers.
i did notice this in events
THIS ONLY HAPPENS FROM STANDBY. my disk is fine otherwise . these

I really hope someone can help.... I've recently downloaded software that I
need to use right away, but when I try to open it my monitor goes all black
and there is text right in the middle, vertically across, saing "1.Analog
Input: cannot display this video mode"
what does this mean and how can I fix it??
