Help on "Missing Profile Windows XP"

I started XP pro today and received the msg.
"Windows cannot load your profile because it may be corrupted"
error logging in
Now when I log into my account, the system thinks all of my user files
are in "c:\Documents and Settings\TEMP\" rather than the
"c:\Documents and Settings\david" directory. ...

Read only folder, changing attribute

I use netscape composer for ftp stuff,
having a problem. Because it needs to write to
a temp folder. I think I found the problem in that the netscape folder has
read only clicked.
I tried unclicking and applying but it does not stay?
I tried safe mode in admin mode with no luck
tried doing individual folders ...

WFV3.tmp in temp

Hi,
A file 'WFV3.tmp' always appears in my Windows/Temp dir. Can't delete it,
scanned with McAfee AV/Firewall doesn't see it, seems to get bigger each
time I start up (about 28 megs now).
Any ideas what it is?
I am using Windows XP Pro SP2 updated.

wmiprvse.exe application error ???

For the past week when I turn on on my computer I get the following
Application Error: wmiprvse.exe
Instruction at 0x03b19020 memory could not be written 0x0000000 click ok to
debug or cancel to terminate the program
I have no idea what "program" it is referencing and I do not know how to fix
it.

Perhaps two years ago, the system started changing its time
zone setting quite frequently (and apparently randomly.)

Internet Explorer 7 icon missing
