Backup Logs for XP Pro?

Using the built-in Backup application in XP Pro, does anyone know what
folder the backup reports are saved in as default and in what format (text
file e.t.c.)? I can run the application fine but was wondering how to check
the logs at a later date.

autoruns mistake

windows updates failed

There is a problem with all the updates are failing to install. It will
download them all, but 95 updates failed to install. I tried to rename the
software distribution folder and tried rebooting a couple times and not sure
what else to do.
It's a new system XP system with SP2.
Any ideas? ...

Windows Explorer - SLOW

2GIG DDR2 800 RAM
on a SATA HD (with 20G Free)
CPU: Core 2 Duo 2.66
What I am finding is when I double click on a folder, it takes 3-5 seconds
for it to open.
Even with 0 objects in the folder, same when using the back button or the UP
