Vista to XP

I am buying my parents a new computer which inevitably will have the Vista OS
on it. I want to upload XP on to the new computer, as I prefer they use that
OS. Could someone please give me the exact procedure on how I would do that?

remove fedora grub boot loader

I've installed windows xp home onto a laptop that previously had fedora
installed. I repartioned and reformatted it with BING, but the grub boot
loader still starts and offers a choice between xp and an unknown os. How do
I get rid of this boot loader so that the machine boots straight into xp?

Ox7E error on XP Repair

Globetrooting friend left me his Sony VAIO VGN-S4XP/B to look at.
Original problem was virus infection obtained whislt in USA
Whislt there he used an online "fixit" service (ctrlcentre ?) to help him
remove virus but in doing so this "messed" up his laptop. I don't know full
story but I received PC in co ...

copy&paste a folder

When I copy&paste a folder with its content I sometime encounter an error
because of long name file.
My questions-
1. Is there a way to know which file is wrong?
2. Is there some way to copy it with some other tool?

Lost XP Home SP2 OEM License Key

I recently purchased XP Home SP2 OEM Version to install on an older machine
and sell to a neighbor. I cannot find the license key. Any chance I can
obtain another one... without paying? I still have the receipt showing proof
of purchase.

Small network question

I recently networked two computers together as a workgroup through a
wireless router using the network setup wizard. Both computers are
running XP-SP3. Everything seems to work fine, but in My Network

Taskbar "misgrouping" Outlook items

For several months now, a number of my users have reported that Outlook
items, particularly draft emails, are being grouped on their Taskbars as Word
Documents rather than as Outlook files. Does anyone know why this is
happening or how to fix it?
We're using Windows XP, SP2 with MS Office 2003.
