SP3 froze during install

My Machine is froze about 3/4 of the way thru the sp3 install. Been sitting
there for almost an hour with no movement of the progress bar. How long
should I wait? What should I do with the machine? I have no data on the boot
drive, it's all on D: . ...

Finding mislabeled graphics

As a security measure, a couple of years ago I mislabeled a few graphic and
video files with an erroneous filename and a .doc extension. Since then, of
course, I lost more neurons than anticipated and can no longer locate them.
Is there an easier way than going through all .doc files one by one? Thanks, ...

How to copy fast to 1TB hard drive

Iâ??ve just purchased a 1TB Buffalo Turbo external hard drive.
Problem: my Seagate 320GB external hard drive has only about 20% free space

Deleted Desktop icons reappear on re-boot

My desktop is getting difficult to use because there are too many icons on
it. I've run the desktop cleanup wizard numerous times, manually moved the
icons into the "unused icons" folder etc. The deleted icons just keep coming

How delete 'Read Only' files from CD-RW's

I don't remember this being a problem in the past, but at the moment I
can't change the attributes of, or get rid of 'Read Only' files on my
CD-RW's.

I had a single-user system. Attempts to reinstall an Adobe program were
unsuccessful, so the Adobe rep assisted the Dell rep in taking control of my
machine remotely and creating a new user, then installing the program the
program under the new user. The program is available to me as the original
user also.

Always logging in at safe mode help!
