you should read the manual ... seriously ... DDK/SDK have alot of
information on the flow of traffic from socket based programs down through
the stack.

DVD Writer Issue

The error would not be what you see for incompatibility. The only problems
I know of with the 6001 version is incompatibility of KMDF drivers due to
the co-installer.
