Wallpaper only stretches

My wallpaper all of a sudden only stretches. The options to tile and center
still appear in the desktop properties dialog box, but no matter what the

long beep when starts

any one can help?
When I start the computer ( windows xp 1) I hear a long beep, then stops for
a while and then the sae long beep, I restarted it again and it goes
straight away to the setup page, doesn't go to windows, whats this beep
means?

I have just bought a notebook Amilo Pa 3515, preinstalled with Vista.
But I want to remove Vista, and reinstall XP.
Impossible : while installing, when XP reboots, all stops with an error
message (hard disk misconfigured, fdisk /?, etc. )

Laptop keeps overheating when tring to reinstall win xp home

I have an Acer aspire 5000 and i have tried to reinstall win xp home on my
hdd this morning, but my laptop keeps on overheating. I have tried to
reinstall xp on my hdd on a desktop pc as i have a 2.5" to 3.5" hdd adapter
but the desktop pc is not letting me doing it.
