mail icon in control panel

I cannot open the mail icon in control panel to setup my Outlook 2007 email
accounts. I double click on it and nothing happens. I also get a registry
error when trying to access email account setup in tools in Outlook. Any

Number of files grows quickly at astonishing rate

First question.
The number of files grows day by day vastly as told by daily virus scanning
by Norton. Long time ago I got 1xx,xxx files, and now it is close to 1 mio
files. That doesn't happened to XP of my friend, who keeps 1xx,xxx files

Can't run Adobe Shockwave Player

Laptop batteries

Running XP Pro SP2.
Is there a way to move a bunch of files alphabetically without moving them
one at a time? That is, move them according to the directory order
instead of according to some purely physical scheme? It would seem that
such a process would be pretty much self-defragging.
