How to remove remote computer from displaying in the workgroup?

Hello,
My Windows shows duplicate computer as part of my home network.
How to remove it from the list?
Also, I have Home workgroup, but on the list there are 2 workgroups:
Home and Workgroup.
How to remove the Workgroup group?

Hello,
Is there a way to have a single, for example, Word button on the taskbar if
I have multiple Word documents open so that when I click on the button and it
shows a list of documents instead of having a button on the taskbar for each
document?

I hav win xp sp3. I want to allow certain programs to run with admin
rights in User enviorment always once I tell them to run with those rights
in that User profile.
How can I do that?

Hard disc activity before logon

Running XP pro SP3 and I have vigorous hard disc activity for many minutes
before I logon. How can I check what application/process is doing this?
I use Kaspersky AV and Diskeeper defrag but they are not set to run at boot
time. Could it be Windows defrag running?
