I was making a test on my SPP server and deleted a site. The site was no
longer listed on the admin site so I thought that I had deleted it
successfuly...
Some days after I tried to create a new site with the same name of the site
I've previously deleted but when I tried to do it I got an error mess ...

Portal Creation failure

I have been unable to create an initial portal site on my server.
After analysing the logs of this server and another server (on a different
domain) where SPS did create a portal site correctly, the problem seems to be
the username used to create the databases in SQL Server.
The installation omits the doma ...

I have a default install of SharePoint Portal Server(SPS) on a Windows 2K3
Server without db engine. The sharepoint services was installed during SPS
install and not separately. My account has the administrator rights to the
server.
I'm able to get into "SharePoint Central Administration" as keeps prompting

Bug in image web part?

Is there a bug in the SPS2003 Image web part?
We are using it to create link from BIG icons to programmes for small kids.
It works fine when the link is a web page.
hwoever when we try to get it to oipen a local program it fails...why
becuase the web stuffs up the link!
