Sharepoint dropdownlist ordering

Hi,
I have a dropdownlist in a list, which is populated by a sharepoint
child list. How can I change the ordering of the fields as it
appears
in the main list? I have changed the ordering in the child list, but
the dropdownlist in the main list always seems to be in alphabetical
order.

SPPS meeting site, add pages

We have W2k3, SPPS 2007.
We created a meeting site.
We have added 10 pages plus the Home page. (11 tabs total are shown)
We want to add more pages.
We go into Site Actions and click on "Add Pages"
We give it a page name and click on Add.

I've been using FBA on a site for six months without difficulty. Suddenly it
has stopped working. Entering confirmed correct authentication info returns
an error:
The server could not sign you in. Make sure your user name and password are
correct, and then try again.

Help my site directory has disappeared

Ok something weird on one of my portal sites in a share services farm
(2003) i have discovered that the site directory has gone. I dont know
if someone deleted it or something else. Any ideas how I can either
recreate it or if I have to restore how do I restore just the site
directory not the whole portal.

Search not working on Forms Based Authentication Site

One of our sites must use Forms Based Authentication. This same site has a
dedicated IP address and a SSL cert installed for it. The site also shares
data with an Intranet site that uses Active Directory Authentication. I've
