HttpSend adapter and HTTP 3xx responses

Is there anyway to configure the HTTP Send adapter so that it doesn't follow
an HTTP 3xx redirect response, but instead treats an HTTP 3xx response as a
failure and retries? I haven't seen anything like this in the settings or
documentation, so I'm not hopeful, but I thought I'd ask.

I have a solution to create EDI 810 and sent it to VAN folder. We use the
VAN to send the 810 and receive 997 from partner.
