Retreive trading partner ID in map/orchestration
Wed, 3 May 2006 11:05:03 -0400
Assuming I have several receive locations pointing to a single
orchestration and maps, how would I go about identifying the trading
partner? The reason is that I need to map an internal ID into the
destination, and that needs to be tied to the party that sent the EDI
document. So I might have trading p ...

Wed, 3 May 2006 05:04:02 -0700
Hi,
I've got 2 input files, the first with names and addresses on, the second
with associated comments on.
As part of my project, I need to merge the two together and perform a bit of
processing and output it ready for loading.
I have all of the schemas set up and know how to do all of the processing ...

Flat file with optional records fails validation
Tue, 2 May 2006 12:45:02 -0700
Hi all,
after trying very hard to make this work I surrender and defer to the experts:
I have an input file (with fixed-length, CR-LF terminated and tagged
records) structured as follows:
one "A" record (where "A" is the record tag)
zero or more K-groups (defined below)
one "Z" record
the sequence ...

Outputting +/- sign for integers
Fri, 28 Apr 2006 12:43:01 -0700
I have a flat file document which I need to display the +/- sign for each of
the integers I have as the first character of a right justified, zero pad
filled attribute.
So if I had to out put the number 12 in a 15 character long field it would
need to be displayed as "+00000000000012". I can do this wi ...

EDIFACT Schema recognition - Base EDI Adapter
Wed, 26 Apr 2006 08:25:20 +0200
Is there any way to get the Base EDI Adapter to recognize a schema for
EDIFACT messages which do not have a controlling agency (UNH/0051) of 'UN'
and Association Assigned Code (UNH/0057) of blank?
I.e. the Base EDI Adapter will recognise a message with:
UNH+133-20531+INVOIC:D:95B:UN'
It finds the appropriat ...

Base EDI Adapter vs. Covast
Tue, 25 Apr 2006 11:53:04 +0200
Is anyone seriously using the Base EDI Adapter in a 'live' environment with
EDIFACT messages?
Is it as slow, unstable and flaky as it appears to be in 'development'?
Given that the Base EDI Adapter appears to be a cut-down version of Covast:
* Is the full Covast product signficantly more professional and st ...

Are we fools? Or are we slaves? As in the film Gladiator, are we as a nation
going from free men to slaves? Would we restore the Republic? Are we even still
living in a Republic? Or a mob-ocracy? And where is our representation in
government? Frank concludes that We have gone from civilized law to "jungle law"

Flat File CR LF
Sun, 16 Apr 2006 18:40:01 -0700
Hi,
I have a simple flatfile schema with delimited records by CR LF (0D 0A). I
have two possible types of flat files that need to be parsed. One with the
last record ending with CRLF an another without. In another words the CRLF in
one can be considered infix and in the other postfix. Is there a way I ...

Flatfile to SQL project
Wed, 12 Apr 2006 08:32:02 -0700
Hello everybody!
I'm a BizTalk newbie currently working as a consultant. We have an old C++
application which takes in a flatfile and sends its contents to an MSSQL
database. I recently talked with my boss about migrating that project to
BizTalk 2004. But before I tell him "lets go, I can do this thing!" ...
