Restoring mailbox to another server

Our company had 2 Exchange email servers until one crashed last week
and couldn't be repaired. So we had to move each mailbox from the
old server onto our other server. The server that crashed was a

Random question and I'm sure this is an easy fix but I'm at a loss.
I added a new user into our AD Exchange 2000 system. I created them an
account in the exchange store but when ever someone tries to send them email
from an external account they get this error like in the subject.

Big Database

My exchange database is big enough to be worried and I would like to reduce
its size or I would like to do something so It doesn't grow more.
I don't know how to create a new database or storage group so I can live
more secure. Any help will be welcomed
