Hello Everyone,
If I supply another valid internet address for another exchange server
in my org, can I somehow redirect them from the outside to access their
correct address where their mailbox sits? I know now a front-end server
would be a more viable solution, but we don't have the budget for anoth ...

Adding another Exch 2k3 ?
Mon, 29 Aug 2005 08:09:05 -0700
Hello Everyone,
Is it necessary to perform a domainprep and forestprep when installing
an additional server that will be moved to another site within my
organization? And, will I need a front-end server to handle OWA if I've
currently only using one Public IP?
Thank you

I’m using Win 2003sp1/exchange 2003sp1.
Right now I have one box that does it all (srv4).

And srv2 will the DC.
Srv2 is up and running as the main AD (with the 5 rolls moved from srv4 to
srv2),
srv6 is up and running as a member server ...

Dual Exch 5.5 and 2000 always sends via 5.5 - why?
Fri, 26 Aug 2005 11:46:27 +0100
I'm in the middle of upgrading from Exch5.5 to Exch2000. All my users are on
the Exch2000 box. I have an ADC in place.
Whenever mail is sent, it is the Exchange 5.5 mail system that initiates the
outgoing SMTP and sends the mail. Why is this? If I stop the Exchange
services on the 5.5 box, no mail goes out.
