Transaction Log Replay
Sun, 28 Oct 2007 23:06:36 -0400
Hello,
I am doing a test restore drill. After restoring my databases and
transaction log files, I ran eseutil /cc to commit the log files. The
process completed successfully, but it took 4.5 hours to complete! Is this
normal? I suppose the answer depends on the size of the database and the
hardware of the ser ...

Exchange 2000 Cluster Moving a Mailbox Store Database
Sun, 07 Oct 2007 00:16:27 -0700
Hi all,
This is probably a pretty simple question - I am a bit rusty on
Exchange 2000 clusters.
I have an active/passive cluster running on Windows 2000 and Exchange
2000 Enterprise. The disk (V Drive) that is holding my mailbox store
databases (EDB and STM files) is filling up.

Fri, 21 Sep 2007 11:31:14 -0700

on a different location and are still accessible. When I try to mount them I
get ev ...

necessary in lieu of recent events. You can just disregard if you
will.
2) There is a user on the net who has impersonated ...

In general, it's not recommended to put jet databases on compressed drives.
Digging through kb's I find "Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 3 and
Exchange 2003 prevent compressed information store databases from mounting."
in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/327772/en-us cause section, so I'd assume
it not on ...
