Information Store Corruption: 478

Hi all,
I've only discovered now that the Information Store is throwing error
478 about checksum mismatchtes when doing a full backup. To my shame
this went unnoticed for almost 2 months now.
Since no user has been complaining about anything Exchange/Outlook
related I'm a bit confused as to what effects thi ...

problem of deleting them after I was done. The error message says, ""You
cannot delete this public folder store because it contains folder replicas.

merging old mails into new database

I have been able to use the exchange recovery Storage Group to mount our old
database onto the new server. We are using exchange 2003sp2. I mounted the
old priv1.edb and .mdb files and it shows the old users with the correct

Hi there,
I am gonna get straight to it, the server that was hosting the msexchange
went down and now i have a new server with exchange. All of the old data has
not been restored yet and that is what i am trying to do. I have the MDBDATA
and MTADATA folders with 8gigs of logs and our priv1.edb files etc ...

I'm using Exchange 2000 on a Windows 2000 Adv Srvr box with individual
mailbox size limits set at 200mb. I have been in the practice of advising
users to archive "must keep" mailbox data to Personal folders pointing to a
PST residing on a network share so backups can be made on tapes.

Hi all,
I'm just wondering what file system AV program people are using to scan
their Exchange 2000-2003 servers (I'm not talking about Exchange-Aware AV
software).
I'm currently using Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition 10 but I find it a
little 'heavy'.
Any recommendations?

All user disconnecting when old unused server goes shutdown

After mailbox migration from one server to another(both Ex03), it seems the
user connect still to the old server (with Outlook03). When I shutdown the
Information Store on the old Server, all users going offline. But all users
have definitely the new server configured in the outlook profile.
