Create Appointment vs Meeting Request with WebDAV

I have copied the sample code to create an appointment with WebDAV and it
sort of works. Only problem is it creates what I would call a meeting request
(in Outlook it shows with the two heads icon, when you open it it has the To
fields etc and it has a tracking tab).
I want just an ordinary simple appoint ...

I'm developing an application that sends an email out through exchange server
using SMTP mail (Winsock). I do NOT use CDO, MAPI, WebDAV, etc... The
mail goes out fine and there is no record of the mail going out through
Exchange since it is not placed into any "Sent" folder or anything.
