Queue - Connection was dropped by the remote host

Some of our queues going to the internet are unable to maintain a connection
to send email. We set up a packet capture on the email server and forced a
misbehaving queue to make a connection. We got the following results:
Frame 1 Us to them 9777 smtp syn
Frame 2 Them to Us smtp 9777 syn, ...

Users from another domain cannot send emails with attachments to a user

Exchange Authentication

We have an enviroment with Windows 2003 Active Directory and Exchange 2003
Enterprise in a clustered setup. We have implemented RSA Secure ID for
Windows to achieve 2 factor authentication. Most of our users use the full
Microsoft Outlook 2003 client.
Apparently RSA Secure ID for Windows is very problem ...

We have had an issue with our outgoing SMTP email (sent to multiple
recipients) getting stuck in queues since the first week of April when there
were absolutely no changes made to our servers, infrastructure, firewalls,
ISPs, etc. I am lost as a goose and even spent $5k on a brand new server to
