I just recieved a phone call saying that an external user cannot send email
to users here. the error that they recieve is - "550 5.7.1 sender id (pra)
not permitted"
the current setup is
symantec mail security gateway ----------> exchange 2003 sp2 server
i configured exchange with the ip of the perimeter ...

not using smarthost for external mail delivery(straight delivery)
Using relay server for incoming mail

Currently going to configure an Ex2k server to use a spam filter device. I
only want the Ex server to accept mail from the spam filter device and no
where else. I know it can be done in Ex2k3, but how can this be done in
Ex2k. Can I do this at the SMTP Virtual Server by using the connection
Control?

servers seperated by a VPN. Suddenly, I'm having a communication
problem, in one direction, between them. The 'master' server can receive
mail from the 'member' server, but the 'master' server cannot send mail

I am adding a new 2003 Domain controller into a Windows 2000 domain.
I have read KB 325379 as you suggested and am a little confused.
My existing domain has only one W2K DC (SP4) running exchange2000 Server
SP3.
Do I need to run the InetOrgPersonDelete.ldf ?
I dont want to end up with mangled attributes in S ...
