I will be setting up a four node cluster (3 active & 1 passive) on Exchange
2003/Windows 2003. I noticed some of the documentation mention the need for
a seperate physical disk for SMTP & MTA, what is the reason behind this?
I understand that there can only be on MTA resource for the cluster, but ...

Every time I close and reopen outlook one of my email accounts delivers
approximately the last 10 days of email again. This will happen every time I

I am working on a disaster recovery plan for a E2K cluster upgrade to E3K.
I managed to restore a cluster from scratch after upgrading the first node
to be back to E2K from a full backup.
My question is, what does the command "Upgrade Exchange virtual server"
available after the first node is up ...

I've got a two node Active/Passive Exchange 2k cluster at a client. I didn't
set it up, nor did the guy before me (IIRC).
With Exchange 5.5, you had to install Exchange ON the shared resource; there
was no other way to do it.
With 2000, I guess the recommendation is that you do NOT install on the
share ...
