2003 to 2007 Migration

I am currently Running a 2003 Native Domain and Exchange Environemt. I have
a single back-end server! In reading the deployment guide for E2K7 and all
these roles, I am left to belive and hope that I will only need to depoly 2

optimal installation strategy

and it says the following:
Disk Set 1 - OS
Disk Set 2 - Logs
Disk Set 3 - DB & SMTP Service
To follow this optimal setup, where would I install the application itself?

I know users can go into their mailbox properties in Outlook and check the
size of their different folders but is their any way for them to see their
total number of items as this is the main issue with user mailboxes not size

I've recently started a new job and have been given the task of fixing
the email backup. I discovered yesterday that the previous admin
(bless his cotton socks) had a vbscript that was deleting all files
older than 5 days from the transaction log folder for the storage

Configuration Error in the Email System bounced between 2 servers
