How can I set up SMTP Authentication on Exchange Server 2007?

We used to use MDeamon as our mail server. It was easy to set up the SMTP
Authentication. But I don't know where to set up SMTP Authentication on
Exchange Server 2007?

Sender ID Filter issue related to Exchange SMTP connection

Our incoming e-mails are handles by Mailmarshal, scanned and filtered and
transfered to our exchange 2003 server
Exchange server has Sender ID filter enabled since 2006.
Occasionally, in mailmarshal SMTP, I see some e-mails (for a particular
user) waiting to be delivered to exchange.

We have a policy which deletes items as follows:
After 180 days from Inbox
After 180 days from Sent Items
After 60 days from Drafts
Daily from deleted items
The process runs daily at 2:00 am and removes deletes every thing from the
users deleted items that works fine ...no worries.

2003 Standard environment. The 2007 server has integrated in the mail system

Just found the article on increasing the database size for Exch 2003 which I
now need to do. Quick question do I HAVE to increase the public folder
database as well? We do not really use public folders...
