The company is splitting into two separate entities. The current domain is
currently at windows 2000/Exchange 2000. I need to figure out what is the
best possible way of migrating the users to a new company/ 2003 domain with a

I am a little lost with the problem that i have, and need some advice.
Scenario.
I have 1 exchange site, 2 exchange servers ( 2nd exchange server is in a
child domain ) 1 Unix SMTP server.

Our sister company is wanting to split off from us and form their own forest
and Exchange 2K3 site.
We have 3 domains in our W2K3 Functional Level forest (Root, DomainA,
DomainB).
Root is a dedicated forest root domain.

Outlook 2003 over ADSL to Centralised Exchange

Exchange in Root Domain

Can anyone tell me is it possible to host exchange in the root domain and
create mailboxes from a child domain in that exchange site? So if you have
root of XYZ.com and the child of ABC.XYZ.com and create a user at
ABC.XYZ.com????
I have test lab running right now and the child domain users never populate ...

Exchange 2000 servers using X400 as intersite protocol

We have two Exchange 2000 servers whose ExchangeMTA services are using
X400 as their intersite transport rather than SMTP.
How would I change this so that all servers within the network are using
