Exchange 2007 / Outlook 2007 Connectivity Quirk
Fri, 7 Dec 2007 09:41:50 -0500
I just started a consulting project and the client is using a single
Exchange 2007 (NOT a domain controller) with Outlook 2007 clients in a
Win2003 domain.
After I log onto the domain and launch Outlook 2007, I'm prompted again for
my credentials. Regardless of whether I enter them or just cancel the box, ...

Possible Exchange/Firewall Issue
Thu, 6 Dec 2007 11:46:54 -0800 (PST)
I am trying to allow a few outside users to connect via POP3 to our
exchange server.
They are connecting with Outlook 2003. It works from inside the
firewall so I am pretty sure that it's a firewall issue. From outside
of the firewall I can telnet via port 110 and log into the server. So
it would seem like ...

some issues with our external users. These users have been setup in the
past to POP their email and send their email through the same mail.xxxx.com
server. On Exchange 2003, all I had to do is 'authenticate on outgoing' any

Wed, 5 Dec 2007 16:40:45 -0000
I have exchange 2003 running as part of a SBS 203 setup. Over the past few
weeks we have noticed that outgoing e-mails seem to be stuck in the SMTP
connector queue with status "scheduled". They stay there for some time
(over a day). I have taken to checking the queue and then forcing a
connection to send. ...

I've got an emailadres and I can only access it by OWA.
Unfortunatly, the owner of the exchange server doesn't want to use pop3/imap
to access the mailbox.
Can I configure Outlook 2007 by using a HTTP account (like hotmail) ?
