cluster with NAS device? How can I let the cluster see the NAS shared folder
as local attached shared disk?

1) install windows 2003 enterprise edition & service packs
2) Create new cluster

Exchange snapshot replication

I have scenario as follows :
site1 production:
2 node A/P Exchange cluster with storage on SAN
Site2 contingency
1 node stand-by cluster
Requirement:
Snapshot replication from site1 to site2 w/o using 3rd party products.

This is an EASY one! - since no one cared for my OWA password question :-(
I want to use ntbackup to back up exchange on a back-end cluster. If I
schedule a nightly backup of system state on both nodes then I assume that
the one owning the quorum will include that disk.
What about the exchange database? ...

Cluster Resource Dependencies Question

resource for this virtual server in order to start, stop, or pause it". I

My mount points are:
Disk 3 SG1-DB1 - D:\ExchSrvr\MDBData\SG1\SG1-DB1 (SAN)
Disk 4 - D:\ExchSrvr\MDBData\SG1\SG1-Logs (SAN)

Exchange 2003 MSDTC

I've found in some of my Exchange 2003 books that the authors recommended
installed MSDTC in it's own resource group as well as enabled Network MSDTC
access. I wanted to post a Microsoft KB article that recommend against this

Second virtual server not working!

In cluster administrator all the resources are shown as online. On the
other hand in the exchange system manager virtual server at times shown
as stopped. Also when it is shown as started, i can't browse it by
right clicking. It just gives me the feeling that IIS is not working.
