I have the same problem.
If a user shuts down his laptop without closing Outlook 2003 properly or if
he loses his VPN connection while connected to the server, then he cannot
connect to the Exchange Server any more.
The only solution is to restart the System Attendant service.

OWA not in graphical mode via WAN

Exchange 2003 as part of SBS2003.
When I access OWA via the LAN NIC in the server, it is normal. When I access
it via the WAN NIC in the server, however, it fails to download the graphics
for the OWA interface but instead shows icons for all the graphics.
