Advisor for analysis. Each attempt appears to process for about 45
minutes or so (the trace table comprises about 4.5 million rows), and

i know ssis allows to insert from a csv file into sqlserver (2005) tables
but is it possible to either update and/or delete records with an ssis
package based on a csv file?

I have maintenance job the runs a Reorganize/rebuild indexes. It normallly
takes 90minutes to do all DB's but on occassion it gets hung up. The job
starts at 10pm, is there a way to check if it's still running at 12:00pm and
if it is notify on of the DBA's?

Searching in a column

Hi,
I have a table with more then 500000 records.
I'm trying to search for a part of word in a description-column (char50),
normally I take the like statement. But sometimes it is too slow.
Does anyone have a solution for that ?
Using full text search is not an option.

Retrieve column headings from query

I'm using both SQL Server 2000 & 2005. I often perform queries and need to
copy the (grid based) results into Excel 2007. The problem is, the column
headings are not included. Is there a setting to change this? Otherwise, I
have to manually type the column headings by hand.

Installing SSMSE
