Wed, 23 Jul 2008 01:29:19 +0800
Hi, all,
I would like to encapsulate SQLExpress as the backend database into the
setup CAB file, if the client choose to install the SQLExpress, then the
installation application would install it automatically, I mean the client
need not install it manually. If this is possible, would anyone tell me how

So, I made a Repair.

All,
I'm in the process of upgrading sql server 2000 to 2005 using a side by side

SQL 2005 being different which will require all of our users/programs odbc

Application Log on the server? Replication stuff goes to a table, jobs
go to tables, etc. I would like to centrally capture them all so my
monitoring tool can just go to a single place.
Thanks. ...

Renaming SQL 2005 Virtual Server and assigning new IP
Mon, 21 Jul 2008 09:48:47 -0400
Has anyone ever renamed a clustered SQL 2005 Server and also change the IP
address of the instance? Do I just change the parameters in the respective
cluster resources to reflect the new name and Ip address? Do I need to run
the sp_dropserver/sp_addserver command?
Thanks!

Have a server with 4GB RAM, running Win2K server, SQL2000 SE. I have not
implemented any /3GB, PQE or AWE switches because of the obvious OS and SQL
version limitations.
When I open Enterprise manager > SQL Server Properties > General tab, I see
"OS memory: 3775(MB)", which seems to be close to the 4GB physi ...
