Cannot get around a Suspended Install of MSDE

I unistalled an MSDE instance no problem, then ran my usual install, but it
stopped and froze my laptop.
I had to end-task the install and re-boot. When I went to reinstall it
keeps in failing. I tried to reinstall as a different instance and still
fails. I checked the log and it says 'Suspended Install ...

Hello.
In some strange way services are not installed during MSDE install with
named instance.
So, after install (i disabled rollback by parameters to setup.exe), i
didnt find my services in Administrative tools -> Services. I mean
services:
1) MSSQL$<MyInstanceName>
2) SQLAgent$<MyInstanceName>

When using command line to install MSDE 2000, the msiexec.exe syntak
information box pops up and the install ends. I "disabled" the service, but
that didn't make a difference. How do I load MSDE 2000 on my Win XP SP2
