Hi,
We have sql server 2000 cluster, with 4 (active-passive) instances. Shared

adding SQL2005 to an Existing SQL 200 cluster
Tue, 2 Sep 2008 11:31:02 -0700
from all the documentation i have read, i would need a separate set of
volumes to add a SQL2005 clustered instance to my clustered 2000 instance.
This seems rediculous, that i can't use the current volumes for this new
instance. Any comments???? ...

RS dbs on a new local instance or on a clustered instance
Mon, 1 Sep 2008 08:00:01 -0700
I need to install Reporting Services in a cluster environment.
I have two SQL Server clustered instances, each one uses 2 disks on a SAN
(one for data and the other one for log).
Is it better creating a new local SQL instance on each node or updating
each SQL Server clustered instance?
Thanks ...

Adding msdb folder in MsDtsSrvr.ini.xml for SSIS
Mon, 1 Sep 2008 07:28:01 -0700
I have installed SSIS 2005 in a two node cluster not as clustered resource.
In order to render available the SSIS package in a node to another node
I want to modify the MsDtsSrvr.ini.xml file.
Is it possible to specify a particular name for the SQL Server folder as
MSDBNode1 and not simply MSDB?
Thanks ...

How?

In order to optimize failover cluster performance, I have read it is useful
to use a static port and not the dynamic port (e.g. 1433). To use a static
port, how I can determine which port number to fix?
Thanks ...

Looking for high performance cluster storage
Thu, 28 Aug 2008 13:00:22 -0700 (PDT)
I have a 2 node SQL 2005 cluster (active-passive) that currently has a
single direct attached SCSI array for it's shared storage. Because
we've reached the performance limit of the SCSI array, I want to
replace it with multiple SAS arrays connected to multiple controllers
to reduce contention. I like the Dell ...
