MSDTC Issue?

Hi,
We are hosting an ASP.NET web application in a Windows 2003 server
(with SP 2) that talks to an SQL Server 2000 database in another
machine - there is no firewall between these two. I have ports 135,
1433 open in the web server. But I am getting an error while trying to
save data:

I have a test domain which include 2-node SQL 2005 clusters. Default instance
is running on it well. As installing a named instance INS2 it gave error at
the last stage installing "SQL Database Services". After that when I try to
run the setup, setup terminates at the very beginning with the following

I the first runs of installing SQL Server 2005 on a cluster, we needed to
use domain groups for each service as part of the install. It was something
you couldn't get past.
I have been looking for the article that refers to this and it appears to no
longer exist.

From what I have read, SQL Server is per se not fault tolerant. In other
words, in a two node instance should one node fail the transactions in
progress will not automatically switchover and hit the node that is still
running, ie, there is a lag in the switching of the nodes. Does anybody
know that ...

No, I don't care whether it is advisable, just whether it can be done. I
have never tried it.
