I need to obtain sql 2000 personal edition but I only have the standard and
enterprise editions on cd. Do I still need to purchase this edition since
it's old or can I obtain any other way? Thanks

Hi Guys... I have 2 aplications App1 and App2.
App1 access Server1 (Sqlserver ent 2000 SP4) through tcp/ip OK!
App1 access Server1 (Sqlserver ent 2000 SP4) through named pipes OK!
App2 access Server2 (Sqlserver std 2000 SP3) can't access through tcp/ip :(

uninstall SQL Server Enterprise Manager Client

I have PC that, when I migrated from an older PC, the SQL Enterprise
Manager client "came along" during the standard MS migration process. Now,
however, it does not function.

I had serious debate in my organization and I told to my developers to use
Error Handling in Stored procedure BEGIN TRY END TRY BEGIN CATCH END CATCH
but they are saying error handling is better in .Net code instead of stored
procedure,

Accessing SQL from an internet page

Hi there:
I'm trying to code a page (ASP .NET) that accesses SQL Server 2005 Express
installed in my own machine.
When vewing it on a browser, SQL Server blocks all attempt to access any
table.
Can anybody help me here?

Updating SQL-server

How can I update my SQL-server - not the Windows on the server it's
installed but the SQL-server software itself ?
Can I just turn to the usual "Windows update site" and there run the "test
for updates" ?
