LEN() equivalent in Visio 2002

In Visio 2003 I use a formula in the char.size cell to set the point size
based on the number of characters in the fields.value cell:
=IF(LEN(Fields.Value)>4,10 pt,12 pt)
My problem is that I want to do the same thing in Visio 2002 and it doesn't
seem to support the LEN() function. Is there an equivalent ...

Zones-8 master does not scale to large drawings
