shape (un)protection not working in visio 2003

Hi,
I am using visio 2003 program.
I was trying to create a UML class diagram. and when I drag drop the class
on to the main page, by default the shape is protected for "rotation" and
"height".
I see this when I go to "format"-"protection".
I cleared all the check boxes and saved.After that I am able to ...
