the users, how to prevent the instances of the masters being changed,

Defining custom connection point

Hi all,
A general rectangle has five connection point, four at the corners and
one at the center. Now I want to define my own connection point, maybe
somewhere between the center and the right-bottom corner, how to do
this?
Besides, can I remove an existing connection point from a shape?

Rack Mounted Equipment shapes

Hi, When I edit text associated with a Visio Shape whilst I have the Text
Tool on the Standrd Toolbar selected the image on screen moves so that the
text to be edited is at the bottom left corner of the screen.
With any other Toolbar icons selected this does not happen.

Change the text of a shape rather than its master

Hi,
I build custom masters by mixing two general shapes, say square and
circle together, and have text on both the shapes.
But after I drop an instance of the master into a page, I cannot
modify the text of the instance. To do so, I need to modify the text
on the master, which is non-sense for me.

imbed excel cell text in a shape

I need to insert a number into a shape that corresponds to a cell in excel.
Kinda like the exploded parts view in a car repair manual.
A callout shape with a text value "123" that is linked to cell A1 in file
***.xls.
It would be nice to be able to auto generate the callouts from the excel file.
