Currently I create an organizational chart by importing an Excel file into a
software program called OrgPlus. Does Visio allow importation, primarily
from an Excel file or even a Notepad file?

Visio background

Is it possible to match a background to a print size rather than a page size.
For example, a flowchart on a single Visio tab that flows over many printed
pages. We would like a particular background to be printed on each page, and
be visible on the screen while a drawing is being viewed or built.

printing out an exact scale

I'm trying to print a 50:1 scale plan of a large room on a sheet of A3
paper. If A3 is too small I can move up to a plotter if required.
What I need to end up with is a physical printout that measures 2cm for
every metre.
I'm finding the number of different settings confusing - please could
someone sugge ...

I'm assisting a co-worker with her Master's Thesis and I need to create an
Org Chart. That was the easy part in Visio! I now need to place it in a
Word Document. She's using Word for XP with the StyleEase add in for
Turabian. When I try to copy/paste into Word, I get asky codes. Obviously

Can't apply a background

I'm using the Microsoft Step by step Visio book and I'm on page 96 trying to
apply a background to a practice file from the CD supplied with the book.
I'm using a trial copy of Visio 2007. I can't apply a background. Is this a
known bug or an undocumented feature?
