Problem with last two Word 2002 updates

Hi all,
I find that after installing the update for Word 2002, my Word becomes
slower in that it opens and closes windows more slowly. For example, when I
save the file, it slowly shows ghosts of itself instead of just saving
instantly. Or when I try to close the Find and Replace window, it slowly,

I'm having trouble installing this add-on to a specific machine. I've

yes, I've been looking for updates for my Office 97 software because there
are problems when I try to save a scanned file to Microsoft Word. It has
something to do with my ocr software. I was told by Dell support that my Word
program needed updating. Can anyone help me.

Unable to Open Outlook after failed Service Pack 1 install

All of sudden today Outlook opens and then crashes. I was suspicious that it
might be an update gone wrong and sure enough the Service Pack 1 failed to

Problem Installing Office 2003 SP3

Conpatilibility Pack stops working after SP3 installed

After much testing, I found that the compatibility pack works fine with Word
2003 until I install SP3. Then it doesn't work anymore. So I have had to roll
back users to pre-SP3.
I even tried grabbing the newest version of the compatibility pack off the
web site as well, and that didn't help either.
